"Days of our Lives" comings and goings reveal that some big changes are headed to the NBC Soap Opera, and they are all starting now. This week, "DOOL" fans will be forced to say goodbye to a longtime favorite character as Arianne Zucker exits the role of Nicole Walker after 20 years on the show. Meanwhile, another major casting announcement has been made, which has fans of the soap excited for what the future will bring in Salem.

Arianne Zucker exits the role of Nicole Walker

According to the latest "Days of our Lives" spoilers, Arianne Zucker will officially leave Salem on Friday, October 20.

The actress, who has played the role of Nicole Walker for two decades, will say her final goodbye to the show, as Nicole has an emotional departure from Salem. As many fans already know, Nicole will be driven out of Salem by a vengeful Brady Black. Brady can't handle the fact that Nicole has dumped him for his step-brother, Eric Brady, and he'll use the evidence that he has proving Nicole is the person who killed Deimos Kiriakis, to keep the two apart. Nicole will be forced to leave Salem and say a tearful goodbye to Brady, Eric, Jennifer, and she'll even have one last run-in with her former nemesis Sami Brady before leaving Salem behind.

Greg Rikaart joins 'DOOL'

Meanwhile, "Days Of Our Lives" viewers have recently learned that actor Greg Rikaart, who played the character of Kevin Fisher on "The Young and the Restless" for 14 years will be joining the cast of "DOOL." Rikaart's role is being kept under wraps, and the soap isn't dishing out any details just yet.

Rikaart has just been cast, which means that he will not begin to air until Spring 2018. Many fans of the actor are hoping that his role will be a long-term one and that he'll be a great new addition to the cast of the show.

Hattie's back in action

Meanwhile, "Days of our Lives" viewers will also see Deidre Hall pull double duty again this week as she tackles both the role of Marlena Evans and her troublemaking doppelganger, Hattie Adams.

Hattie will be seen in scenes with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans). This could be a hint that Steve will be the person to figure out Adrienne is stuck behind bars while her doppelganger, Bonnie Lockhart, is living her life in Salem. Bonnie has been busy running wild and causing chaos within the Kiriakis family, and recent "DOOL" spoilers reveal that she's not done yet. It seems that Bonnie will have at least one more trick up her sleeve before she's finally caught and put back in prison where she belongs.
