and Elsa and I got to go to Albuquerque, [New Mexico] for a week and kind of work together and hang out."

Hemsworth opens up about working with wife Pataky in new film

He went to say that the production has allowed them to just hang out and enjoy each other's company while their three children were at home with their grandparents. "We didn't have to do much rehearsing as far as playing husband and wife," Chris Hemsworth added.

The 34-year-old actor has previously opened up how the whole idea of having his wife in the movie started. He said the production suggested that Elsa Pataky play as Chris Hemsworth's wife which he thought was a great idea.

The war film is based on Doug Stanton's book of the same title.

Inside Hemsworth and Pataky's relationship

Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth first met Elsa Pataky through William Ward in 2010. The two took a huge leap in their relationship when they tied the knot just a few months after they started dating. The "Red Dawn" actor revealed there was "no light-bulb moment" when he met the Spanish model-actress.

"From the first time we met, we just made sense. She's fun. She's outgoing, and she has a sense of humor and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try to keep up with," he mused.

He also admitted that the wedding sort of just happened when they suddenly decided to get married during their Christmas vacation in Indonesia back in 2010.

The celebrity couple were blessed with their first child two years later before they welcomed the arrival of twins in 2014.

Elsa Pataky, on the other hand, revealed the first time she fell in love with Chris Hemsworth was when she heard his voice over the phone. The actress also gushed over her husband's amazing and sexy body before she commended him for his personality.
