Filming on “Game of Thrones” Season 8 officially started on Monday and fans could not be more than thrilled. A few shared their photos with the stars who are now in Belfast. Interestingly, these photos may have also given away one possible spoiler about the opening scene in the premiere episode.
Casts in Belfast
Earlier in October, the cast converged in Belfast for the season 8 script read-through and rehearsals. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) took a selfie with a fan at the airport. She was also spotted walking on the street with Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark).
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Harington reportedly arrived together in Belfast. They later blended with the shoppers and took a stroll around the city with John Bradley (Samwell Tarly).
The other cast spotted in Belfast include Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Ian Glen (Jorah Mormont) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane).

Filming begins
After minor delays due to Storm Ophelia, “Game of Thrones” finally kicked off production with a few casts.
Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei, announced her arrival on Twitter.
Lol whenever I can hear life outside from my hotel in Belfast it always sounds like people are having THE best time 😂🙌🏾

One very lucky fan took a selfie not just with Emmanuel but also with Liam Cunningham, who plays Sir Davos.
The two actors were at a boxing match when the fan spotted them sitting together.
Thanks for the photo guys @liamcunningham1 @missnemmanuel Hope you’s enjoyed the boxing 👍🏻🥊🥊 #GameofThrones #belfast #BurnettZhakiyanov pic.twitter.com/ic2A7ViT6q

Watchers on the Wall compiled the other cast sighting announcements from Twitter.
One fan said she saw Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) and Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) on a flight to Belfast. She also ran into Kit Harington (Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen) at the airport. Another fan said he saw Rupert Vansittart (Lord Royce).

Unfortunately, there are no photos to back up their claims. Nevertheless, the mention of these casts’ names alone is enough to excite “Game of Thrones” aficionados for the filming of season 8.
Season 8 premiere
Interestingly, the arrival of these cast members could be a tease at what happens in the season 8 premiere. Could they be filming a group scene? Viewers may remember that Jon, Sir Davos, Missandei, Brienne, and Grey Worm were all at the Dragonpit meeting with Cersei. They all left afterward bound for the North. Lord Royce, on the other hand, was in Winterfell where he witnessed Littlefinger’s brutal death.
Might we see Jon, Brienne, Sir Davos, Grey Worm and Missandei already at Winterfell when “Game of Thrones” returns? Given how season 7 ended, it would be fitting to open season 8 with Daenerys’ army arriving in the North to bad news from Tormund about the fall of The Wall.
