Anna Faris shocked her fans when she stepped out with rumored beau, Michael Barrett, just a few months after she and Chris Pratt called it quits. In a joint statement, the celebrity couple confirmed that they were separating after eight years of marriage.

The announcement broke the hearts of their fans, who were hoping to see a fairytale ending for the pair. Not much has been said on the split. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have also refused to give further details about the sudden decision to end their marriage.

The "Jurassic World" actor has been inactive on social media since the announcement of their separation. The "Scary Movie" actress, on the other hand, is currently on the road to promote her book, "Unqualified," which will be released on Oct. 24.

But despite her packed schedule for the book tour, Anna Faris still finds time to go out and enjoy the company of other people.

In fact, the actress was recently spotted with Michael Barrett, raising a lot of speculations and eyebrows. Photos of the rumored couple at a Los Angeles carnival seemingly proved their budding romance although both parties have remained tight-lipped on dating rumors.

Chris Pratt, on the other hand, is reportedly "heartbroken" after he learned about the rumors linking his ex-wife to the cinematographer.

A source told Hollywood Life that the actor is still trying to process the current situation although he is still in pain from the separation.

"Chris [Pratt] knows Anna Faris met him a while ago," it added. "But when they may have started hooking up, Chris [Pratt] doesn’t really want to think about. It is too painful."

The source claimed the split has been difficult for the actor since he could not figure out what happened to their marriage that led to the separation.

It went on to reveal that the "Passengers" actor is still "very heartbroken" over his split with Anna Faris. "He thought he was going to be with Anna [Faris] forever and now that is not happening,” it continued.

The estranged couple developed their feelings for each other while working in "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007. Things escalated quickly after that and ended with the two exchanging vows in a simple wedding ceremony in Bali in 2009.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were blessed with their one and only son, Jack, three years after they tied the knot.
