Rick-Negan war to come to an end in season 8
According to the plot synopsis released by AMC, Rick will bring “All Out War” to Negan and his forces in the upcoming episodes. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple has confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the war between Rick and Negan will absolutely be resolved by the end of season 8. This means fans should get ready to witness a lot of action, explosions, intense fight sequences and massive deaths.
In fact, Seth Gilliam, who portrays the character of Father Gabriel Stokes in the show, told EW that there will be 10 explosions an episode. He added that fans should expect some serious action coming their way that has never been seen on television ever.
The mystery behind the Old Man Rick
Notably, one of “The Walking Dead” season 8 trailers showcased an older Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) with a bedside cane.
Discussing the "Old Man Rick" appearance in the trailer, Gimple said that the reason behind it will be revealed in the later part of the season. He stated that it's something that's going to play out. Executive producer Greg Nicotero also confirmed to EW that "Old Man Rick" will not be a one-time thing.
