The latest updates and spoilers for "The Flash" Season 4 will feature Barry Allen's return in the first episode promo trailer, and Danielle Panabaker confirmed that the showrunners would not make another musical episode.

'Flash Reborn'

A new promo video for the first episode of "The Flash" Season 4 features the return of Barry Allen after his time in the Speed Force. Viewers will see a bearded Barry in the CCPD as he is visited by Team Flash. The problem, however, is that Barry does not recognize them and he uncontrollably runs around S.T.A.R. Labs.

The trailer also features Baron Katana as he kidnaps Iris West in exchange for a fight with the Scarlet Speedster. Cisco Ramon also tells Barry that he has a new suit and wants to test it out. The new suit in the show will probably look like the one worn by Barry's future self in Season 3.

Grant Gustin stated during San Diego Comic-Con 2017 that Barry would have new knowledge and powers after his time within the Speed Force and these changes will have an effect on his personality and how he interacts with everyone close to him.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that Barry and Iris would finally get married this season. Their wedding was supposed to happen after they defeated Savitar, but Barry willingly sacrificed his freedom to save Central City from the Speed Force.

No more musicals

Cast member Danielle Panabaker confirmed during the DragonCon 2017 event that the showrunners would not make another musical themed episode for "The Flash" this season.

"That musical was pretty ambitious. I think by the time we finished the musical, we were pretty exhausted," Panabaker said. "To the best of my knowledge, we're not going to do that again this year.

Season 3 featured a "Glee" styled musical episode that featured The Flash and Supergirl trapped in a musical movie by a fifth dimension alien named The Music Meister. The two heroes almost died after being shot by gangsters, but they were saved by Iris and Mon-El.

Panabaker also revealed that Tom Felton would not reprise his role as Julian Albert in the show.

She told Digital Spy that things did not end well between the two as Caitlin Snow did not feel the same way towards Julian, the way the latter felt for her.

Team Flash will face a new foe this season named Clifford DeVoe a.k.a. The Thinker. Barry will have to use his new found knowledge and skills to beat the highly intellectual villain to save Central City.
