The actor talked candidly about the content of these death threats and how her character is going to be introduced to Jughead come season two of "Riverdale."

According to the Daily Mail, actor Vanessa Morgan is due to join the cast of "Riverdale" for the second season of the show.
The actor is to take on the role of character Toni who is rumored to be a bisexual character. Toni is based on the character of the same name in the "Archie Comics" which the show was based on and fans fear that this means Jughead will get together with Toni as they did in the comics.
The executive producer of "Riverdale" Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has teased that the addition of Toni may lead to some trouble between Jughead and Betty and fans are not happy with this news. The couple of Jughead and Betty has become a fan favorite pairing over the first season of the show and they do not want to see the couple break up.
In a report by Her, it has been confirmed that Toni will get close to Jughead as they both attend Southside High.
Toni is a gang member and she is Jughead's first friend in his new school. As fans of the series "Riverdale" already know, Jughead is not widely accepted during his time at Riverdale High School and it is clear that Toni will have an impact on his life.
The actor has revealed that she has already been receiving death threats
According to Her, actor Vanessa Morgan has already revealed that she is receiving death threats as fans fear that her character will cause Betty and Jughead to break up.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Morgan opened up about receiving the death threats and claimed that half of the death threats were sent because fans fear that Toni will steal Jughead away from Betty. The actor also claimed that the other half are writings of pure love for the couple of Betty and Jughead.
Morgan has claimed that fans are rushing to a conclusion and that while it has been teased Toni will come between Jughead and Betty there is no evidence that the couple is going to break up because of this.
Vanessa has stated that actors Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are incredibly kind people who both welcomed her warmly on the set of "Riverdale."
It is clear that the pairing of Jughead and Betty Copper are incredibly important to the audience but the fate of their relationship lies in the hands of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show's producer.
