ABC network confirmed that a Season 7 of Once Upon A TIME is officially in the making. According to a report by TVLine, the show-runners have hired actress Meegan Warner to play the role of “Rapunzel” in the show. She replaces Alexandra Metz who had been playing the character since “Once Upon A Time’s” third season. The seventh season is expected to begin at the traditional point. Rapunzel will be seen as being trapped by an evil witch.

The list also includes Mekia Cox. According to Deadline, the actress is known to play the character of Princess Tiana in the previous seasons. Apart from her, Giles Matthey will reprise his role as Gideon (Belle and Rumple’s son) in “Once Upon A Time” season 7. Actress Emilie De Ravin will deliver a special guest appearance.

According to Den of Geek, she primarily gained popularity for playing Belle on the show when “Beauty and the Beast,” was the main theme. She did not appear in the last season. Thus, fans had no hopes of her returning. Much to the surprise of the fans, she has been rehired by the show’s producers. Apparently, they realized that her absence was felt by the fans all through “Once Upon A Time” season 6.

The premiere date of “Once Upon A Time” season 7 has been confirmed to be October 6. The show shares the time slot with two of Marvel’s other fantasy series. This includes “Inhumans,” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

According to what TV Line has to report, Andrew J. West and Dania Ramirez will be playing the role of Henry and Cinderella in the new season.

The two will be shown as being married with a child in Seattle. They are slated to begin receiving flashbacks. This will serve as a cue for different tales to intermingle. Coming to the sad part, the list of actors who won’t be joining in on the seventh season include: Rebecca Mader, Jennifer Morrison, Jared Gilmore, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas.

Artists like Gabrielle Anwar, Adelaide Kane, and Rose Reynolds have been hired to play unusual roles with lesser screen time. “Once Upon A Time” has been very successful at bringing viewers for ABC. Therefore, they are expected to keep renewing its season at least two more times. However, the showrunners haven’t hinted towards any of such possibilities. The seventh season will air in the United States at 9 p.m. on ABC.
