Model and celebrity Kendall Jenner has walked at Victoria’s Secret fashion show in the past, but not this year. The female star has declined to participate in this year's show because of a major deal signed with a competitor brand, TMZ reported.

Sources from the Kardashian family shared some new details about her career. Jenner has walked for the lingerie brand's runway events last 2015 and 2016, the entertainment website added.

Her co-stars Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Karlie Kloss have all confirmed that they will grace this year’s runway show.

According to TMZ, Jenner will not be joining them in Shanghai this fall because of a conflicting clause from a contract she signed with another company.

New endorsement

Sources told the entertainment website that she has landed a major deal with a lingerie company known as La Perla. This company is a major competitor of Victoria’s Secret.

According to the contract that Jenner signed, there is a clause that prohibited her from walking for fashion shows organized by La Perla's competitor brands. This clause is called the “non-compete clause,” the entertainment website added.

Jenner has already been posting images of her latest campaign with La Perla. She has recently shared various photos on Instagram, showing her wearing their products.

These images featured her wearing one-piece swimsuit from her new endorsement.

The female model did not even audition for this year’s Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The company has not commented or issued any statement about her decision.

Victoria’s Secret fashion show 2017

Every year, Victoria’s Secret holds a fashion show as a culmination for their achievements, and also to feature its best collections.

The models walk on a long runway in front of an audience composed by celebrities and wear magnanimous props with their lingerie.

This year, the company is holding their runway event in Shanghai, China. Shanghai is among their biggest markets worldwide. They have previously held shows in New York, London, and Miami. Last year, Paris was chosen as the location of the fashion show.

Among the models chosen during the casting were Gizele Oliveira, Aiden Curtis, Alexina Graham, Zuri Tibby, Bruna Lirio, Julia Belyakova, Estelle Chen, and Daniela Braga. They announced their participation through posting on their social media accounts, Blasting News reported.

They will be joining the ranks of the other supermodels who have previously walked for the lingerie brand. They include Adriana Lima, and Adam Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo.
