On Sunday night, the 69th annual Emmy awards took place and involved many jokes about Donald Trump, with some actors taking serious shots at the president. While Trump has not personally spoken about the show, Presidential Counsel Kellyanne Conway didn't hold back her thoughts.

When Donald Trump announced his plan to run for president back in June 2015, he quickly made enemies with the majority of the mainstream media and the liberal-leaning Hollywood celebrities.

Trump's remarks about illegal immigrants from Mexico being "rapists" and "murderers" instantly drew a line in the sand between those who support and oppose the former host of "The Apprentice." During the 2016 presidential election, Trump's surprising popularity made him the butt of a joke on comedy shows and late-night TV, highlighted by veteran actor Alec Baldwin's portrayal of the president on "Saturday Night Live." In the nine months since Trump has been in office, backlash from Hollywood has only increased, which has caused an even wider divide among liberals and conservatives around the country.

Following the trolling of Trump at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night, Kellyanne Conway gave her opinion during a September 18 interview on Fox News.

Joining the hosts of Fox News' morning show "Fox & Friends" on Monday was Kellyanne Conway who wasn't too pleased with how celebrities handled their thoughts about Donald Trump at the Emmy Awards. "It's the sameness,” Conway lamented. “They got plucked and polished and waxed and some of them didn’t eat for two months," Conway said, before asking, "And for what?" The former Trump campaign manager didn't stop there, as she moved forward in her rant to smear the stars of Hollywood.

Kellyanne Conway continued her attack, stating that all the celebrities just "read the stuff other people write" for them.

"People have the right to speak freely...but again, to what end?" she went on to say. "You're alienating at least 63 million Americans who supported this president," Conway claimed, while going on to add, "you are showing the world that you're so easy with an insult to our leader.

While Kellyanne Conway took time to bash Hollywood and the Emmy Awards, Donald Trump has more important issues to worry about. While the president addresses the United Nations General Assembly, he's also facing an approval rating that is down to just 35 percent as the majority of the American people lose confidence in the commander in chief.
