Justin Timberlake fired up the internet when he was named a potential candidate to perform during the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Fox News reported that the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer is in final discussions with National Football League (NFL) to complete the agreement on his performance.

It further stated that Justin Timberlake's name emerged after Jay-Z allegedly turned down the offer to take the Super Bowl stage next year. If proven true, it will not be the first time for Justin Timberlake to perform at the most-watched sporting event.

Wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

In 2004, the NSYNC member shared the stage with Janet Jackson where he accidentally exposed the female singer's breast on the live broadcast. The infamous incident caused the NFL to invite classic rock bands to headline the annual musical show for several years before pop acts returned in 2011.

Although the singer has yet to make a comment on his possible Super Bowl comeback, most fans were not happy about the reports of his potential return in the sporting event. Some fans thought having Justin Timberlake on the show would be an insult to Janet Jackson, who is still banned from the annual event.

Janet Jackson successfully pulled off her production number for "All For You" and "Rhythm Nation" when Justin Timberlake appeared onstage and performed "Rock Your Body" with the female artist.

All things were going well when the NSYNC member suddenly ripped his co-singer's bra and exposed her bare breast.

Many believed that the act was intentional despite Justin Timberlake's denial of the accusation. Hence, many fans are still outraged at what he did to Janet Jackson, which they believed caused damage to the female singer.

One person, however, expressed her interest in joining the "Hair Up" artist for his possible performance at the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

NFL reportedly invites Justin Timberlake to return to Super Bowl

According to a Hollywood Life source, Britney Spears would love to share the stage with her ex-boyfriend for the highly anticipated musical event.

“She originally wanted to do the halftime show herself, but things didn’t work out," the insider explained.

It went on, "She loved doing it the first time when NSYNC joined her, Nelly and Aerosmith at Super Bowl 35! She thinks that it would be epic!”

Britney Spears had her Super Bowl moment in 2001, wherein she performed "Walk This Way" with several other artists, including Justin Timberlake and his boy band.
