TMZ recorded a video of actor Tom Cruise injured during a building jumping stunt for his upcoming movie “Mission: Impossible 6.” He was seen on the video hitting the edge of the building and limping afterward.

The actor was reportedly in a shoot for the sixth installment of “Mission: Impossible,” TMZ reported. The shoot was held in London last Sunday.

In the video posted by the entertainment website, the 55-year-old action star attempted to run and jump from one scaffold to another building, guided by a safety wire. However, he missed some points and jumped only to hit the edge of the next building.

Cruise then carried himself up, made a few strides but was seen limping on his way toward the crew.

The movie crew members were seen helping him get up, and move him back toward the area of the scaffold. He was reportedly escorted out of the scene.

His team had no statements on whether he was hospitalized or taken to another location. The extent of the injury is still not known as of press time, E! Online reported.

Previous injuries during shoot

The actor has been reportedly injured in various movie shoots before, according to E! News. During the 2003 filming of the movie “The Last Samurai,” one of the props accidentally injured Cruise. It was a sword used during a fight scene with his co-actor.

The sword reportedly moved close to the actor’s neck.

In 1986, a shoot for the movie “Top Gun,” a parachuting scene between the characters Maverick whom Cruise portrayed, his friend and a fighter pilot had a props malfunction. E! News recalled how Cruise’s parachute started to fill with ocean water. A stunt frogman reportedly noticed it and was quick to rescue to Cruise from sinking.

‘Mission: Impossible 6’

Tom Cruise is currently filming his upcoming movie “Mission: Impossible 6.” The sixth installment will be released in theaters this July 2018, according to The Guardian.

“Mission: Impossible 6” is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the same director for the “Rogue Nation” installment and another movie in the Jack Reacher storyline.

Cruise has been in various action stunts in previous editions of the film, including a scene with Airbus 400 and a climbing scene at the world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa at the United Arab Emirates, The Guardian reported.
