The latest updates and spoilers for "Thor: Ragnarok" will feature the return Lady Sif in the film and the God of Thunder's first encounter the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Lady Sif returns

It seems that a popular Marvel character will be returning to "Thor: Ragnarok" as a new ad spot for "Talking with Chris Hardwick" will feature Jaimie Alexander and it tags her name next to the third film.

This implies that Alexander's character Lady Sif will return to the movie helping Thor, The Hulk, Valkyrie, and Loki against Hela and save Asgard from the apocalyptic event of Ragnarok.

Lady Sif has been a long standing supporting character in the "Thor" films alongside the Warriors Three. She is also a rival of sorts of Jane Foster when it comes to the affections of the God of Thunder.

Lady Sif has also made guest appearances in Marvel TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." helping Phil Coulson and his team against threats from Asgard and the Kree. While details of her role in the sequel are still unknown, Marvel fans are relieved to hear that Sif is not left out in the movie as she and the Warriors Three were not featured in the trailers and the official merchandise.

Hopefully, director Taika Waititi will shed some light on what Lady Sif's role in the film before it premieres in November.

Meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy

Chris Hemsworth revealed how his character will meet Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy as their fateful meeting will set up the events of "Avengers: Infinity War." Fans who have seen the film's official footage at D23 2017 and San Diego Comic Con featured a wounded Thor floating in space as he accidentally bumps into the Milano.

The Guardians were able to rescue him and Mantis used her powers to wake him up.

Shortly after showcasing the footage at the SDCC event, Hemsworth and rest of the "Infinity War" cast took part in backstage interviews as he told IGN that the opening scene will be revealed in the "Ragnarok" film.

"It is. I think so, yeah," Hemsworth said.

"I think you'll have to watch our film first to understand what Avengers is all about."

The "Infinity War" movie will have the reunited Avengers teaming up with Guardians of the Galaxy against the threat of the Mad Titan Thanos and his children, the Black Order as they are trying to complete all of the Infinity Stones and use it to reshape the universe. The movie will also feature other heroes such as Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will premiere on Nov. 3, while "Avengers: Infinity War" will launch on May 4, 2018.
