Taylor Swift was fearless when she took the stand to give her testimony about the groping incident. On Thursday, the pop singer appeared before the court for the fourth session of an ongoing groping trial which involved David Mueller.
In her testimony, the singer-songwriter stated that the act was "very intentional" and insisted that the DJ stuck his hand under her skirt and grabbed her bottom. She recalled that the incident took place during her meet-and-greet event at Denver's Pepsi Center in June 2013.
Inside Swift's groping trial against Mueller
"I'm not going to allow you or your client to make me feel in any way that this is my fault because it isn't," she addressed Gabriel McFarland as per CNN. "I am being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are a product of his decisions and not mine."
The attorney then presented a photo from the incident and argued that the image showed nothing wrong. Taylor Swift, however, countered and said that she will never reverse her statement even if she were to ask a million times. The singer remained firm when Gabriel McFarland asked why the front of her skirt was not lifted in the said photo. "Because my ass is located in the back of my body," she answered.
Stephanie Simbeck, who took the photo, testified that the "Bad Blood" artist "had an uncomfortable look" when she posed for a photo with David Mueller and his then-girlfriend Shannon Melcher. The photographer also insisted that she saw the DJ groped the singer.
Taylor Swift immediately reported the incident which resulted in David Mueller's dismissal from KYGO two days later.
In 2015, the DJ sued the pop singer and argued that she has ruined his career for making false accusations.
The 27-year-old artist filed a countersuit and alleged the DJ of suing for fame and money. David Mueller's boss, Robert Call, recalled that he was "shocked" and "embarrassed" when he learned about the groping incident.
He was also worried that the case might have an effect on the station.
Fans, celebrities react to singer's groping case
The whole groping incident has earned mixed response from the public. Some are making fun of the controversy, while others are pointing their fingers at the pop singer. But despite the backlash she is currently getting from her detractors, Taylor Swift can lean on to her loyal supporters who are defending her from her critics.
Teen Vogue's Lauren Duca fired back at those people who are treating this case a joke, while "Divergent" star Ashley Judd commended the pop singer for taking a stand.
Fuck your shitty Taylor Swift jokes. A woman publicly testifying about her sexual assault deserves nothing other than unwavering support.

It's not about whether you like Taylor Swift or not. It's about supporting a young woman having to publicly relive her sexual assault.

Whether you like Taylor Swift or not, we should give her support for what she's going through. She was groped in a working environment.
