At the age of 45, Sofia Vergara is not ashamed to flaunt her body and imperfections in order to send an important message to all women. The "Hot Pursuit" actress recently graced the cover of Women's Health magazine, where she posed nude and explained the greater purpose behind her decision for doing so.

Of embracing imperfections and empowering women

Unlike most women who worry about aging and having to deal with all the changes that come with it, Sofia Vergara has already embraced the reality that is happening in her. "We're changing. I see it happening to me.

I want to look my age, but I want to look great," she said.

Although she is frequently told that she looks younger than her age, the mother of one begs to differ after seeing how her skin changed with aging. But despite not having the most perfect skin and body, Sofia Vergara strives to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet by working out three or four times a week.

Her husband, Joe Manganiello, even built a gym in their family house so she won't have any excuses not to work out. "It's not about having muscle or cut abs. I don't have abs because I'm not 'I need to be like a fitness model with a perfect body.' That would take too much effort," she explained.

The "Escape From Planet Earth" star, however, considered working out a "torture" and admitted that exercising usually puts her in a bad mood.

But regardless of what she is doing or whom she is with, Sofia Vergara makes it a point to always look her best on any occasion.

In fact, she even puts on lipstick even when she is at home all by herself. Joe Manganiello even noticed this trait when they were still dating, and admitted that it was his first time dating someone who was always put together.

"It's the way I grew up: Accept yourself but also be better than yourself," the actress explained.

Vergara to launch own underwear brand to support women

Meanwhile, Sofia Vergara is reportedly planning to launch her own underwear company that will benefit women to get into business and fight poverty. The actress, who has been in the industry for over two decades, said she wanted to inspire and empower other women to find a living and better themselves.

"I want to be able to provide women with the tools to start their own business as an exit out of poverty," she said.

"The Brits Are Coming" actress is scheduled to launch her EBY underwear brand on September 25, with an objective to give back 10 percent of its sales to Seven Bar Foundation to empower women all over the world. Renata M. Black, a co-founder of the non-profit organization, thought EBY perfectly represents a "powerful and provocative" Sofia Vergara.

"I could not be more excited for the world to experience Sofia how I have witnessed her as a visionary, innovator and entrepreneur," he added.
