When "Jane the Virgin" Season 4 premieres this October, it will begin a new chapter in the lives of the Villanueva women. For starters, Jane (Gina Rogriguez) is reuniting with someone from her past, while her mother, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo), is finally wed to her father, Rogelio (Jaime Camil). While it may have been a nice happy ending for both characters, the road ahead is expected to be a bumpy one thanks to Darci Factor's...baby bump.
Justina Machado's Darci is carrying Rogelio's child, and it may be an opportunity for him to finally raise a child, just as he wished.
But what does this mean for Xiomara, who is opposed to having another baby? Navedo told TV Guide, "It being a telenovela, it can't always be roses and champagne and lavender, or whatever the saying is. There's going to be some rocky waters in the future. We'll see what happens, but at least we're married!"
Darci Factor to get a new love interest
In the upcoming "Jane the Virgin" season 4, viewers will get to see more of Justina Machado, as confirmed by Jaime Camil himself. In fact, Camil told TV Guide that Darci "will start to date one of Rogelio's enemies, so that's going to complicate stuff." Nonetheless, the actor said that Rogelio having a baby with Darci will fulfill the character's dreams of raising a child.
Of course, it's not without any drama that Darci is sure to bring to the table.
Gina Rodriguez on Jane and Rafael: They're 'everything'
As for Jane, she's already met (re-met?) Adam (Tyler Posey), who's set to be highly influential when "Jane the Virgin" season 4 returns in October. Although Posey's status is that of a recurring character, that doesn't mean that he won't serve as a love triangle between Jane and Rafael (Justin Baldoni).
As for Gina Rodriguez, she admitted to BUST Magazine (via Auto Straddle) that "Jane with Michael was everything to me, and I really can’t imagine Jane being with anyone else." So what's to come in the next season? Fans will have to tune in to find out what will become of Jane and Rafael.
Actress confirms Jane's sexuality
Gina Rodriguez has always been outspoken about her own sexuality.
However, when it comes to Jane, the actress believes that Jane is definitely straight. She told BUST, "So many fans ask me if Jane is bisexual. Jane is the furthest from bisexual." She added that she's aware of the number of fans who actually want Jane and Petra (Yael Grobglas) to end up together (team Jetra?). In fact, she admitted, "I'm all about 'Jetra.' I love 'Jetra.'" Speaking of Petra, fans will also get to see what becomes of her at the hands of her evil twin Anezka when "Jane the Virgin" season 4 premieres on October 13 on The CW.
