It is now a big question if Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Maggie (Kelly Mccreary) will be a new item in the coming “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14. As April (Sarah Drew) revealed the truth about the two in the previous season finale, it looks like a new relationship is going to brew.
From the looks of it, Jackson and Maggie have feelings for each other, but it seems like they are not yet ready to jump into a serious romance. In fact, the Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery is still not sure how she will react to April’s revelation.
Maggie’s investigation about the revelation
"April left Maggie with a lot of questions,” Kelly McCreary told TV Guide about her character as Maggie.
Maggie never expects that Jackson also has feelings for her, although she admits that she likes him. In “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14, the 35-year-old star revealed that her role is going to find out if April's truth bomb is true. “Beyond that, none of us knows,” she added.
An alleged love triangle
Additionally, as Sarah Drew is regularly posting photos of “Grey Anatomy” Season 14’s filming, she often shares some snaps including Jesse Williams and Kelly McCreary.
The 36-year-old actress is teasing that there will be a love triangle happening between their three characters.
In fact, she is even using the hashtag Jaggpril, which is the combination of their names.
"That's us trolling you,” McCreary admitted to TV Guide. She then explained that they really have no idea what is going to happen next season and they are just making fun of their fans that are confused about their alleged romance. She went on to say that for some reasons, viewers don’t want to see Maggie and Jackson together, so that’s what makes it a good drama.
Whether Maggie and Jackson end up together romantically or will just stay as good friends, there will be definitely a dynamic between them. “There's background that is worth exploring for character and story purposes,” she teased. Thus, she is now looking forward to having scenes with Williams.
Dr Altman’s return
Meanwhile, Kim Raver is back in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14 to reprise her role as Dr Teddy Altman.
Sarah Drew shared a snap with the television show’s alum on her Instagram account. “So SO happy to work with this beautiful and wildly talented lady again!” she captioned the photo. Deadline reported that the 48-year-old actress’ return will be a reoccurring guest star. She has been a series regular from the sixth to the eighth season.
