She claimed that it has taken her a very long time to understand her face and all of its different angles and looks. She has revealed that it was only this year that she felt confident in knowing exactly what kind of face she wants to portray in the media as her photograph is taken.
In a report by Glamour, she stated that when people first meet her that they are often taken aback as they assume that she is a quite intimidating person. Hadid explained that this is simply the of portrayal of herself that she has projected as a high fashion model and that it has nothing to do with her personality.
She claims that people always tell her that she is different from what they have expected and tell her that they thought she would be a mean person.

Hadid went on to claim that the topic of social media is quite an unusual one for her as a model as she has to find the balance of advertising herself as a model as well as building up a fan base on the kind of person who she is. Hadid has claimed that in the past she has felt over exposed online and now tries to stay away from that.
