Anna Faris and Chris Pratt shippers are still not over the separation of the celebrity couple. On August 6, the pair released a joint statement to confirm they were calling it quits after eight years of marriage. Aside from asking the public for privacy, both parties have refused to provide the reason that propelled their decision to go separate ways.
Anna and Chris end eight-year marriage
Neither Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have addressed the separation since the announcement was made. The actor did not even mention the matter during his first public appearance since the split at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards where he received the Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor recognition for his "Guardians Of The Galaxy" role.
Not much has been said about the issue as the couple would like to keep the process a private matter. The "Scary Movie" actress, however, seemingly hinted at marriage trouble in her latest "Unqualified" podcast. In the said episode, the mother of one shared a piece of advice to one of her listeners who was torn between her boyfriend and co-worker.
Anna Faris specifically underlined the importance of self-worth in a relationship when she addressed the listener. "Life is too short for you to be in relationships where you're not feeling like this isn't fully right," she said.
She went on and asked the listener to enjoy her life and to be fearless of the future. Before the pre-taped podcast was played, the actress thanked her fans for their outpouring of support since the separation announcement.
She, however, refused to talk further about her marriage with Chris Pratt.
'Take Me Home Tonight' duo cope up with split
Two weeks after the celebrity couple delivered the unfortunate news, Anna Faris found comfort from her family, friends, and fans in the course of the split from her estranged husband. A Hollywood Life source denied that the "Lost in Translation" star has been "crying herself to sleep" since the separation.
In fact, the insider claimed that the 40-year-old actress is "coping with the split really well," contrary to rumors. “Now it’s all about adjusting and settling into her new life," the source said.
It added that both Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are committed to co-parenting their son, Jack, and to provide him a "stable and happy home environment" while the two of them are working for a smooth transition.
“They’ve vowed to keep the divorce as amicable as possible and to not bad mouth each other. Hopefully, they can stick with that, for their son’s sake, as well as each other’s," the insider explained.
