The Justice League is facing a rather different villain off-screen with the news of its extensive reshoot dragging on for about two months now, according to Variety. It is as if these superheroes have not enough monsters and evil foes to battle on screen.

Variety reports that the reshoots are costing Warner Bros and DC an estimated $25 million. Though, these are considered standard works in making sure that the film turned out to be just as expected, the cost and time are not.

Reshoots usually cost less than half and can be carried out in about two weeks, according to Variety.

Scheduling troubles

The villain in this real life trouble is the conflicting schedules of the actors concerned, according to the report. Apparently, Superman (Henry Cavill) and the Flash (Ezra Miller) are not fast enough to accommodate both the schedules of the reshoots and that of the current films they are working on. The reshoots are being undertaken in both Los Angeles and London.

Wonderwoman (Gal Gadot) and Batman (Ben Affleck) are reported not doing any film projects as of the moment, so they are unlikely to be troubled by conflict in scheduling where reshoots are concerned.

Justice League is now being directed by Joss Whedon after the original director, Zack Snyder, stepping down following the loss of his daughter.

So far, the studios have a comment on the issue of schedules.

Other film projects

Henry Cavill is part of the sixth Mission Impossible film with Tom Cruise, which is scheduled to be released by July of 2018. Meanwhile, Ezra Miller is filming the sequel of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them reprising his character, Credence Barebone.

Both actors/superheroes are said to be working out all of their super powers to make sure that the evil and unwieldy schedule is eventually dealt with.

Superman’s mustache

But the Justice League has to contend with another equally daunting foe on their way to our cinema screens come November—Superman’s mustache.

According to Variety, Henry Cavill’s character in Mission Impossible 6 has a mustache and Paramount won’t allow him to shave off those facial hair while production of the sequel is being made. So how can he can appear as the immaculately clean-shaven Man of Steel?

In this fight, the Justice League will not be alone as Hollywood’s digital wizardry will magically wipe out those troublesome hair off the face of Superman the same way Molly Weasly cleans off dirty frying pans in the Burrow.
