vicki gunvalson has decided to return for another season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” even though it has been a rough couple of years for the reality star. Just a few years ago, Vicki was caught up in a massive cancer scandal that proved that her then-boyfriend Brooks Ayers had lied about having cancer. He faked his medical documents and showed them to huge media outlets with the hope of possibly getting sympathy and attention from Vicki.
But it was quickly revealed that he had made up some stories with the hope that people would ease up on him, as his stories were very questionable.
But Gunvalson reveals that she never knew that he was fully lying about having cancer. She wanted to clear her name. They broke up, and she was left rebuilding her entire brand.
She's the longest standing housewife
Vicki is one of those people who may not have an interest in backing down when things get tough. She has been on “The Real Housewives of orange county” since the show began and this marks her 12th season on the show. One can imagine the Bravo producers have absolutely no interest in firing her because she is the longest-standing housewife.
Anyone can imagine that she doesn't want to leave the show because she is getting paid a good amount of money for filming the show and she's invested in it now.
She often calls “The Real Housewives of Orange County” her show. But based on a recent Instagram post promoting the upcoming season, which starts tonight on Bravo, it sounds like fans are split as to whether they want her back on the show.
While one follower commented on her Instagram post saying that they were excited to see her back on the show after 12 seasons, another person revealed that they were tired of watching Vicki and Kelly Dodd on the show and they want to get Heather Dubrow back on the show.
Heather announced earlier this year that she was leaving the show and she would not be filming another season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” She revealed this because she wanted to focus on other career options and spend more time with her family.
Should she continue to film?
As for Vicki, she will probably continue filming the show as long as Bravo allows her to.
One can imagine that she has plenty more to go, and Andy Cohen revealed that Vicki will probably be on the show as long as the ratings are high, as he doesn't think Bravo will cancel the entire franchise until people lose interest. In other words, Vicki may be on the show for many years to come.
What do you think about Vicki Gunvalson’s post about returning to the show for the 12th season? Are you surprised that people are split about seeing her on the show even though she's been on the show since the very beginning?
