Different reports suggest that “Baywatch” actress Priyanka Chopra is developing a comedy show for ABC. The series will focus on the personal and professional life of Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit, In-Style has learned. This single-camera show will highlight all aspects of Madhuri’s life, such as how she settled in the suburbs of America with her husband and in-laws and how she changed herself from a Bollywood actress to a housewife.

The name of Priyanka’s new show

Deccan Chronicle reports that Priyanka Chopra has not finalized the name of her new series.

Sri Rao, who wrote “General Hospital: Night Shift,” would reportedly pen the story and dialogues of the ABC series. Nick Pepper and Mark Gordon may produce the show through the Mark Gordon Company (MGC), which has produced “Ray Donovan,” “Quantico” and “Grey’s Anatomy” like shows.

She may have gained international recognition for her incredible works in “Quantico” and “Baywatch,” but she’s already a household name in Bollywood. Yes, we are talking about Priyanka Chopra who is in talks with ABC for new dramas. Variety reports that her current program is based on the life of Madhuri Dixit, who may also play a leading character. During the making of “Saajan” in 1990, Dixit developed a relationship with co-star Sanjay Dutt.

Finally, in 1994, Madhuri called it quit due to Sanjay’s controversial lifestyle. Talking about this break-up, she told the Telegraph that she was in love with Sanjay but he did not show any sincerity. Madhuri tied the knot with Dr. Shriram Madhav Nene in October 1999.

Now the couple is based in Los Angeles, and they have two sons (Arin and Rayaan). For almost a decade, Madhuri is residing in the United States with her husband, and every aspect of her life is going to be shown in ABC’s new series.

“Madhuri is a passionate dancer and actress. I always loved to make a biopic but did not get a chance due to other projects,” Priyanka Chopra told Yahoo.

On Sunday afternoon, Chopra confirmed the news via Instagram and promised that the new show would come up the expectations of her fans. The “Baywatch” actress aims to develop new shows both in Hindi and English languages.

“Today I’m happy to announce that I have teamed up with ABC to develop a brand new show,” Chopra wrote on Instagram.
