The world welcomed the new Carter babies as their celebrity Mom Beyonce posted their photo on her official Instagram page. The names of Sir Carter and Rumi were also revealed by their popular parents in a post. Just like her maternity announcement, the first month's birthday post was done in a flowery and fashionable way.

Before their names were officially revealed there were tons of speculations as to what Blue Ivy's siblings would be called. It turns out that a lot of speculation was spot on when the singer ended the agony of her fans today when she posted the names of her babies for the first time alongside the twins - one boy and one girl.

Baby Carters

The twins were born on June 18 but it took almost a month before the world caught a glimpse of the baby Carters as they were reportedly treated for jaundice. This is the reason why the twins spent time at the hospital after they were born. They now join Blue Ivy who is five years old and is kept well away from the spot light.

Official photo of the twins

The 35-year-old glamorous mom posted the photo on her official Instagram page. The image has now garnered more than 4 million likes in a span of five hours. Beyonce wrote, "Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today."

However, the babies daddy, rapper Jay-Z is not in the photo and nor is their first born Blue Ivy. The followers of both music celebrities now wanted a family picture of the Carters to be released.

Comparing her photographs during her pregnancy and the latest image posted on Instagram, it appears that the singer had already lost some pregnancy weight. The famous flower background, which she also popularized during her pregnancy announcement was tweaked a bit and was also present for the babies' big reveal.

Rumi and Sir Carter

The twins looked comfortably asleep in the photograph. It is difficult to tell from the image who they look like more. Is it their father or their mom? Nevertheless, the two look adorable in their first pictorial. Reports say that the couple is planning on keeping the names of the babies as they allegedly filed to trademark them in order to protect the names Rumi and Sir Carter.

According to TMZ, Shawn Corey Carter or Jay-Z filed a legal petition last Friday to secure the names of the babies. Although the names are adoringly cute, some say it is quite unusual to use the word "Sir" in a name as it usually comes before one. Rumi, on the other hand, is of Japanese origin. The famous couple is known for their constant surprises including the real names of their children.
