Following the box office successes of Marvel’s superhero films “Iron Man” and “Captain America,” the studio is once again in the headlines for a brand new series. Marvel is reportedly adding six energetic superheroes into its list of crusaders through “New warriors.” A report by MSN revealed that Marvel confirmed production of “New Warriors” in April 2017. It will debut on Freeform in 2018, co-produced by ABC Signature.

The new Marvel series came from none other than Marvel Television. It is Freeform’s third Marvel series, with Jeph Loeb serving as executive producer.

Marvel has reportedly recruited Kevin Biegel as showrunner.

Three main characters of the series

Milana Vayntrub, who is famous for her performance in “This Is Us,” is set to play Doreen Green / Squirrel Girl. Marvel describes her character as “full of powers and strengths.” Squirrel Girl can easily interact with squirrels and other animals. Her best friend, Tippy Toe, helps Doreen whenever she feels alone.

Derek Theler, who played the leading character in “Baby Daddy," is onboard to portray Craig Hollis. The actor describes his character as “someone who cannot die.” Although Hollis’ supernatural powers are astonishing, he has never used them. He is in this world to learn new things about the planet.

Jeremy Tardy, who is famous for his magnificent performance in “Dear White People,” has taken the role of Night Thrasher / Dwayne Taylor. According to the actor, Dwayne is a brilliant businessman who strongly believes in kindness, virtue, and justice.

Other noticeable characters

Calum Worthy will take on the role of Zack Smith / Microbe. He is a shy hypochondriac who has the skills and abilities to talk to microorganisms.

He loves to ask them different questions, such as what you ate today and who you hung out with. It is not possible for anyone to keep secrets from Zack. Calum Worthy made the headlines with his excellent performance in “Steven Universe.”

Matthew Moy is credited for the success of “The Comeback.” Marvel has hired him to play Deborah Fields / Debri. Deborah Fields is a funny character. By nature, he is a confident and energetic personality.

Kate Comer ("Hello My Name is Doris") plays Deborah Fields / Debri. She is a low-level telekinetic. Her power is so minimal that Deborah can barely “move a tissue paper.”

In this new team, Speedball and Justice are returning warriors, while Scarlet Spider (Kaine), Nova (Sam Alexander), Hummingbird (Aracely Penalba), Haechi (Mark Sim), Water Snake (Faira Sar Namora) and Sun Girl(Selah Burke) are among the new members.
