Who is John Mayer?
John Clayton Mayer, or most commonly known as John Mayer, is the singer behind the popular songs "Your Body Is a Wonderland," "Back To You," "Gravity," "Who You Love," and many more.

Drake inspired Mayer to be more competitive
Aubrey Drake Graham, or simply Drake, inspired Mayer to be more competitive on his live performances. According to the 39-year-old singer, he was encouraged by the Canadian rapper/singer to be riskier and step up his stage production during his own concerts.
John Mayer's second leg of Search for Everything World Tour will launch on Tuesday, July 18, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The new live presentations have been a departure for the Grammy winner, who now performs with a very bright, colorful, and futuristic L.E.D. wall and floor.
"I wanted to have a really Big Show.
I want to be competitive," Mayer said. The American artist also said that he wants to be in the world where all the people are creating bigger and better shows, Billboard reported. Mayer mentioned that he saw something "wow" on Drake's show and he wants to have "a little of that" something on his live performances.
As for the record, Mayer isn't only playing in big areas such as arenas.
He announced on Tuesday that he will be part of the Dive Bar Tour in Los Angeles on July 26. Dive Bar is a promotional tour by American singer Lady Gaga, which is sponsored by Bud Light.
Interview with John Mayer
In a recently conducted interview with The Associated Press, Mayer mainly talked about stepping up with his live shows.
He also emphasizes that he just wants to enjoy his new albums, which is collaborated by DJ Khaled and Calvin Harris.
When Mayer was asked if what are the new things and level up production on his live shows, he proudly explained about the L.E.D. wall and a L.E.D. floor. "It can be abstract. It can be super minimalist. It can also be super-real," he said.
Mayer also mentioned that he wants to be more modern since it is one of the factors for people to become excited. In fact, he intended to put some technology in his live show because he found that in demand in the modern day.
