Beyonce and Jay-Z have revealed the names of their newborn twins: Rumi and Sir Carter.

TMZ reports that the celebs have trademarked the name for their twins. The 35-year-old Beyonce announced her pregnancy in February 2017 through an Instagram photo. Her album, "Lemonade," was released on April 23, 2016, by Columbia Records and Parkwood Entertainment. A few weeks ago, Beyonce posted images on Twitter and Instagram showing her baby bump.

According to Sky News, Beyonce and Jay-Z have filed to the United States authorities to copyright “Sir Carter” and “Rumi Carter” to make sure that no one else can profit from the names.

Jay-Z and Beyonce share their happiness

Although the rapper and the pop star did not comment on the matter, Beyonce’s father took it his Twitter to announce that his daughter was pregnant with twins. The couple already has a five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who is reportedly helping her mother look after the new family members.

“We want to share our happiness and love with the fans. We have been blessed with twins,” Beyonce told Sky News. The stars are happy because their family is growing, and they have thanked fans for their prayers.

The names of newborns

TMZ reports that the names of infants were revealed in trademark documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on Sunday night.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have filed papers to trademark the names through their production house. The couple would trademark everything for their children, from cosmetics to fragrances and from handbags to baby gear.

Beyonce gave birth to the twins a few weeks ago at University of California Medical Center, Los Angeles, and she spent five days in the hospital due to an undisclosed medical problem.

The photos of her twins are breaking the Internet these days, giving an idea that Rumi and Carter are probably the most famous babies in the world. For days, fans had been eagerly anticipating for Jay-Z and Beyonce to give glimpses of their twins. So, the pop star posted three pictures on official Instagram that went viral in no time.

Marriage and children

Beyonce began dating Jay-Z after their collaboration on "03 Bonnie & Clyde,” and then she appeared as his girlfriend in a 2002 music video, fueling speculations about their relationship. They tied the knot in April 2008 without publicity, and the couple kept their matters away from the limelight. In 2011, Beyonce suffered a miscarriage, describing it as “the saddest incident of her life.” In January 2012, the couple was blessed with a daughter, Blue Ivy.
