Jada Pinkett Smith stopped by Sirius XM’s “Sway’s World” on Wednesday, and the actress talked about meeting the late rapper Tupac Shakur for the first time. The mother-of-two revealed that she was a Drug Dealer during their first meeting.
The “Magic Mike XXL” star said that she and Shakur met on the first day of high school. They both went to the Baltimore School of the Arts and they immediately became friends. The interview of Pinkett Smith came amid the new Shakur biopic “All Eyez on Me” out on theaters now and after she commented on the movie last month saying that the portrayal of her relationship with the rapper was hurtful.
She took to Twitter to say that her relationship with Shakur is too precious to her for the scenes on the biopic “to stand as truth.”
The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.

Pinkett Smith has more to reveal about her relationship with Tupac Shakur
The 46-year-old actress only shared those parts of her relationship with Shakur because she will be writing a book about her life. She noted that it is difficult for her to talk about her relationship with Shakur because she has not offered the whole story yet, Los Angeles Times reported.
As for talking about being a drug dealer when she and Tupac first met, she said that she was in a bad place during that time.
She shared it for the first time because she had that bad time when she was having an “existential crisis around Pac because I was coming out, he was coming in.”
Pinkett Smith pointed out that because of that existential crisis, she and Shakur met at one point. However, that bad point in her life did not last long because she was able to get out of it and at that time, too, she and Shakur went their separate ways.
She remembered telling God after she and Shakur went their own ways that He will do for Shakur what He did for her, which is He saved her. The saving part for Shakur, Pinkett Smith believed, never happened for the rapper because he was killed at a very young age.
He was shot in 1996 in Las Vegas. The two were not speaking at that time because they had an argument about how much their lives have changed, People reported.
Why the drug dealer info came out
Pinkett Smith said it was important to talk about her being a drug dealer when she and Shakur met because it would give an insight on what their relationship really was. She said that it was not a cute girl-cool guy relationship at all as what they shared was about survival.
She cleared that people always thought they had a romantic relationship but she negated that they have something deeper. People do not talk about it because they do not have that side of the story yet. She also said that they held each other down and they got each other’s back whenever they felt that they had nothing.
Pinkett Smith is now married to actor Will Smith. They have two kids together, Jaden and Willow Smith.
