“Hawaii Five-0” finally got new actors to replace Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park. CBS recently announced that they have signed up three new people to join the main cast.

New season introduces three new characters

Few weeks after Asian actors Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park announced their departure from the popular action police procedural series, CBS revealed that have finally found the right people to join the main cast.

Actors Ian Anthony Dale, Meaghan Rath, and Beulah Koale have signed to join “Hawaii Five-0” Season 8 and they will be filling the void that Kim and Park left.

CBS renewed the said television series for an eighth season and it is already scheduled to make its premiere on Sept. 29 this year.

Canadian actress Meaghan Rath will be portraying the new character of Tani Rey, a hotel pool lifeguard that Steve McGarrett recruits. Rey was a first-rate candidate who was suddenly kicked out from the police academy.

Actor Beaulah Koale will be playing the new role of Junior Reigns, who is a former Navy SEAL. McGarrett offers him a job and Reigns joins the team hoping to make use of his skills as a member of Five-0.

American actor, Ian Anthony Dale gets promoted and returns as a series regular in “Hawaii Five-0.” He played the recurring character of Adam Noshimuri, the husband of Kono Kalakaua, who was portrayed by Park.

Will Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park ever return?

With CBS finally replacing Kim and Park with new actors to join the main cast, it’s highly unlikely that fans will ever see Detective Chin Ho Kelly and Officer Kono back in the series. Park and Kim joined the first season as two of the lead characters.

Kim and Park left the show after negotiations over their contracts with CBS failed.

Kim released an official statement saying that he was sad over the fact that he won’t be joining the show anymore especially when the new season premiere is just a couple of months away.

Kim explained that he and the network were not able to agree to terms on a new contract and so he decided to leave “Hawaii Five-0.” He and Park reportedly left because they weren’t paid as much as their fellow lead actors, Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan.

With Park and Kim gone, the three actors who were just added to the main cast have big shoes to fill. Dale has at least established his character since he has been introduced in the earlier seasons of the “Hawaii Five-0” while Rath and Koale have yet to win the hearts of fans.

Rath kicked off her acting career in 2001 and starred in various movies and television series. She is known for her roles in TV series, “New Girl” and “Rogue,” which earned her nominations at various awards shows.

Koale has a diverse acting career, taking on roles in movies, television series, and theater. He starred in the award-winning short film, “Manurewa,” which was released in 2010.
