After a successful battle with alcoholism and finalizing his divorce, "The Batman" actor Ben Affleck is finally turning his life around and moving on from his ex, Jennifer Garner. The 44-year old award-winning actor has even been revealed to be dating someone new, in the form of 37-year old blonde "Saturday Night Live" producer, Lindsay Shookus.
The new girl
Affleck's new flame is a veteran producer who started on the late-night comedy television show back in 2002 as an assistant producer. As the show's current executive producer, Shookus oversees the production of each episode and its casting.
She is even responsible for landing big gigs for up-and-coming artists, which includes bringing in acts like Chance the Rapper on the show.
Similar to Affleck, Shookus was also recently divorced from her now ex-husband, fellow producer Kevin Miller. Both of them had a daughter together. There are rumors that Shookus may have been the reason for Affleck's separation with Garner, but that remains to be unproven. Affleck and Shookus have known each other for years after the actor first appeared as a host on "Saturday Night Live."
Going public
Since his separation from Garner, Affleck's love life hasn't really been a focus for the actor. He hasn't been linked to anyone else since their marital troubles had erupted.
Shookus is actually the first woman that the actor has been linked to and they are apparently now making their relationship public. The couple was recently spotted having a romantic date in Los Angeles just this week.
Sources who were able to see the couple during their date revealed that they were apparently quite intimate and Affleck was very "touchy" with Shookus.
According to E! News, Affleck's relationship with Shookus is reportedly still very new and that it is more than just a fling. Since the actor was recently divorced, both are reportedly taking it relatively slow for now.
Still in good terms
After three months of being divorced, Affleck is still pretty much a dedicated father to his children with Garner.
He still retains a close and friendly relationship with his ex-wife as they continue to take care of their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, ages 11, 8, and 5, respectively. In a post made by the actor on social media, he thanked his ex publicly for supporting him and the kids through his fight with alcohol addiction. In a separate interview, Affleck even called Garner a "superhero mom" and mentioned that he was very lucky to have her as a co-parent with their kids.
