The second film of J.K. Rowling’s "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" series has begun filming in the U.K. The as-of-yet-untitled film started on Monday at Warner Bros. Studios in London, the same studio where the Harry Potter film series was shot.
The "Fantastic Beasts" series is set 70 years before the events of the Harry Potter series. This is the second film of a five-picture series. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling wrote the script for the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel, after handling the first film. David Yates, who directed the first film and 4 of the Harry Potter films, will also return as director.
The second installment of "Fantastic Beasts" is set to release on November 16, 2018, according to the Warner Bros.

In the ending of the first "Fantastic Beasts" film, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) temporarily defeated Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) in New York City. If you read the Harry Potter book series, you will remember that Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore and Grindelwald were close before the latter went Voldemort crazy.
Warner Bros. announced plot details for the film on Monday. The second film will be moving to 1920s Paris, from New York in the first film, shortly after the capture of Grindelwald who has escaped and is gathering followers.
The only wizard who can stop him is his old friend Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore will will need help from his former student, Newt Scamander.
New cast members
Joining Redmayne on the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel, according to Deadline, are Katherine Waterson who plays Tina Goldstein, a former Auror who works at the Magical Congress of the USA (or MACUSA).
Dan Fogler who plays Jacob Kowalski, a no-maj Baker who was exposed to the magical community after meeting Scamander, and Alison Sudol, who plays Queenie Goldstein, the younger sister of Tina and an accomplished witch in legilimency.
Actors also returning for the sequel are Johnny Depp, who plays the protagonist Gellert Grindelwald and Ezra Miller, who plays Credence Barebone, whose fate was unknown at the end of the first film.
Other cast members include Jude Law as a younger Albus Dumbledore, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander – an Auror and Newt’s older brother, William Nadylam as a wizard named Yusuf Kama, Ingvar Sigurdsson as a bounty hunter named Grimson, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Skender - a wizard running a circus, Kevin Guthrie as Abernathy - the boss at MACUSA, Kim as a young woman as an at the Wizarding circus and Zoë Kravitz as Leta Lestrange.
