Angelina Jolie’s candid interview with Vanity Fair revealed dramatic details about the “Maleficent” actress after her split with Brad Pitt in September 2016. One of which is her recent acquisition of the magnificent 11,000 square foot Beaux-Arts mansion in L.A for a whopping $24.5 million.

Her stunning home had six bedrooms and ten baths and wasn’t fully furnished at the time of the interview.

Angelina Jolie admitted that she doesn’t really know the first thing about decorating. “I didn’t even know I needed throw pillows,” Jolie admitted. The former Cecil B. DeMille mansion was in part decorated by a friend. Jolie confessed that her former husband usually takes care of decorating the house.

Brad Pitt is undeniably a design enthusiast according to People. In fact, his former house in Malibu was sold to a noted prime real estate collector Ellen DeGeneres. Brad Pitt reportedly collaborated on a furniture line with designer Frank Pollaro in 2012. Later on, they established the New Orleans charity “Make It Right,” which helped build homes in affected areas during Hurricane Katrina.

In the revealing profile published by the online magazine, Angelina Jolie talked about handling solo the household, the kids and her affairs. For one, she admitted the great success in acquiring the huge space for her family. The “Girl, Interrupted” star and her six children lived in rentals since her split with Brad Pitt last September.

Finally settling in is a huge step in the healing of her family.

As of the moment, Angelina Jolie is swamped with different duties; parenting six kids alone, guest-lecturing on women's rights at the London School of Economics, directing, acting and doing humanitarian work. Add to that the emotional chaos, which she struggles to hide for the benefit of her kids.

She revealed she doesn't want her kids to worry about her. For her, it's a must to appear okay in front of the children.

Brad Pitt’s revealing interview with GQ Style talked along the same lines in May. He took the blame and admitted that he had a serious drinking problem. He was later cleared of child abuse after the reported physical and verbal altercation between him and his son Maddox in a private plane. This was the turning point for their relationship. Jolie effectively kicked him out of the house after the incident.
