It looks like EA’s “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” has its own way to introduce the game’s heroes and antagonists in the same gameplay. It has been known that Lucasfilm and Disney’s sequel project will be quite different from other games for introducing the points of view of the Empire.

In an interview with Newsweek, the title’s co-writer Mitch Dyer revealed that the action shooter video game is about to continue the story where fans thought it has ended. Aside from the continuation of its narrative, it is also set to work on with other longtime characters in the story, like Luke Skywalker.

Skywalker’s story

Star Wars: Battlefront 2” will give some background on what happened to Luke Skywalker before he is seen at the end of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

However, his appearance is not part of the game’s main character, but just to connect the story of the sequel trilogy. Mitch Dyer told Newsweek that they have worked with the same people Rian Johnson has worked with in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” From there, he noticed that the franchise’s single story has different chapters.

“It just feels really tight in appearance,” he said. This involves the connection people have with the story and the level of balance it has worldwide. However, he perfectly knows that Lucasfilm won’t do anything that will make them look cheap, exploiting its iconic heroes.

The film company will never do things “just because.”

Hence, Mitch Dyer assured that their approach in “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” is to tell a great story. This includes delivering Luke Skywalker’s narrative in a very interesting way that will naturally be connected in other narratives. This, too, doesn’t mean that game’s main storyline will be changed.

In fact, the Jedi Knight’s tale will be told from the title’s lead character Iden Versio’s point of view. Its development will be also unveiled with regards to the Inferno Squad.

The game’s storyline

Moreover, to familiarize fans, “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” will continue the story after the destruction of the second Death Star in the original trilogy “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.”

As this will be in Imperial’s point of view, the game’s character is an Imperial soldier who is seeking for revenge.

Here, the player will play the role of a stormtrooper named Iden Versio. She will be visiting a number of locals and use a fighter jet in different battles. She, too, will be accompanied by a Wookie.
