This year hasn't been nice to Chris Brown after getting involved in a series of controversies. The "Look At Me Now" artist just lost a case against his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran who filed a complaint of alleged assault and threat. USA Today cited the "Claws" actress will get a five-year restraining order against the male singer after she presented his threatening messages and voice mails before the court.
It was reported by Billboard that Chris Brown has been asking his ex-girlfriend to return his gifts and diamond rings following their breakup in 2014.
Speaking before a court in Santa Monica, Tran gave her testimony and provided pieces of evidence to prove her previous statements, claiming that her ex-beau had assaulted her while they were still together.
The model and actress was initially granted a temporary restraining order against Chris Brown for allegedly threatening to harass her and her friends.
Chris Brown's history of assault against women
This not the first time the American singer-songwriter was accused of violence against his partners. In 2009, Rihanna charged her then-boyfriend with battery after an intense fight that led to violence. She was even hospitalized after getting bruises and contusions.
In 2015, a woman filed for third-degree assault against Chris Brown after he reportedly threw her off his tour bus.
The following year, the male singer was accused of punching a woman at a night club in Las Vegas. Also in 2016, the 28-year-old artist was accused by his own tour manager, Nancy Ghosh, for allegedly threatening to attack her. Another woman also accused the male artist of reportedly threatening her with a gun.
Despite all these and more, Chris Brown still got some words of wisdom from Rihanna, who wants nothing but the best for him.
A source told Hollywood Life that RiRi wants her ex-boyfriend to pull himself together for his daughter, Royalty.
“Rihanna warned Chris that if he can’t learn his lesson soon, his role as a dad may be in jeopardy. She knows how important Royalty is so she told him to stay focused and live a good life for the sake of your daughter," the source said.
Royalty is Chris Brown's three-year-old daughter with Nia Amey. Earlier reports claimed the two were longtime friends before they hooked up in 2013. It was only two years later that Royalty was revealed to the public. It is Father's Day soon and according to Hollywood Life, this is why Rihanna has spoken up.
