President Barack Obama may have unknowingly revealed the sex of Beyonce' and Jay Z's twins while introducing his friend Jay Z into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. The rapper was celebrated for his achievement on Thursday night in New York, and although President Obama could not be there in person to recognize Jay Z, he sent his well wishes in a video.

In the video, Obama explained that he and Jay Z had many things in common, such as both men not having a father in their lives, and reflecting on how many people do not have the opportunities that they have had in their respective careers, and how that has given them the inspiration to blaze the trail for those who are coming behind them.

Obama explained, "Jay and I are also fools for our daughters," he added, speaking of The Carters' daughter Blue Ivy, and he and Michelle's daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama. But, there was one statement that stood out and sent Twitter into a frenzy: "Although he's going to have me beat once those twins show up." The only way Jay Z could have President Obama "beat" is if he has more daughters than him, right?

What we know so far:

From the moment the singer announced her pregnancy via instagram, the beehive has been speculating over whether she would welcome boys, girls, or one of each. Many believe that Obama's statement implies that the twins that Beyonce is carrying are girls. This would accompany another clue that Beyonce' gave fans on social media in April when she posted a picture of a blue butterfly and two pink butterflies.

According to an insider, it's looking pretty certain that at least one of the babies will be a boy, due to the blue-colored decorations and baby items appearing in their home lately.

All of Beyonce’s bags are packed and her assistants are on standby. There have even been reports that the singer is currently in labor, due to the fact that her sister Solange Knowles was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Beyonce' will be delivering the twins at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

The twins will join Blue Ivy Carter -- Jay Z and Beyoncé's first child -- and if the twins' birth is anything like the birth of their big sister, it will be one of the most talked about births this summer. Beyonce' and Jay Z have done a great job in the past of keeping details under wraps until they were ready to reveal the information themselves.

Did the former president spill the beans, or was he just speaking figuratively? Time will tell.
