Maddie Zieglers name will always be linked with “Dance Moms” but it seems that the young star has nothing but bad things to say about the show that catapulted her to stardom. After leaving the hit Lifetime show in season 6, there is definitely no turning back for the 14-year-old dancer, actress, and model. As a matter of fact, Maddie is so over the reality dance competition series that she has no problem labeling it “the worst.”

In a video created by Raw, Maddie Ziegler played a fun game of word association with Jaeden Lieberher. The teen’s “Book of Henry” co-star said a couple of words and the former “Dance Moms” star associated them with words that first popped into her head.

Jaeden Lieberher told her words like “Dance,” “High School Musical, “Leotard,” “Contemporary,” “The Audition,” and even her boyfriend “Jack Kelly,” that made Maddie Ziegler giggle and associated the name with “Love.” But when her co-star said “Dance Moms,” the young star frowned and called the reality show “the worst.”

Maddie shows no love for ‘Dance Moms’

Maddie Ziegler has lately been expressing her dislike for “Dance Moms” in her interviews. It’s no secret that the Maddie Style mogul was Abby Lee Miller’s favorite student so many people were shocked to see her talking negatively about the show that opened the doors for her in Hollywood.

However, Maddie Ziegler has previously revealed that it wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies being Abby Lee Miller’s star student.

The former “Dance Moms” star shared that even though the Lifetime show paved the way for her, the pressure was just too much for her young self to handle.

Maddie told People at the time that she was glad to have moved on from "Dance Moms" because she could not handle the stress anymore. She then noted that she is now in a happier place after leaving the Lifetime show.

As she was the teacher’s favorite, Maddie Ziegler felt the pressure to win the top prize all the time to make her mentor happy and satisfied. Although the star loved dancing and competing a lot, it did take a toll on Maddie who said, "I was stressed at 11 years old, which shouldn't happen.”

Maddie and Mackenzie left Lifetime show to seek greener pasture

Maddie and her younger sister Mackenzie Ziegler left “Dance Moms” to focus on their individual careers. Although the talented siblings have already expanded their brands, Maddie and Mackenzie still keep going back to their roots as dancers and are still taking up classes to improve their skills.
