For the first time, singer cum actor Harry Styles has shared his experience about Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film “Dunkirk.”

The 23-year-old reveals that it was tough to shoot the underwater sequences for the movie. As “Dunkirk” is his first Hollywood project, Harry seems to be ready to take any risk. This is why he chose to shoot the underwater sequences himself and did not seek the help of a stuntman.

According to Harry Styles, he had to spend some minutes under the water while shooting a sequence. He wore his swimming costume and adopted all precautions, but the temperature was too low, so it became difficult for Styles to survive for long in the sea.

Harry Styles and his debut film

A week before the shooting began, producer Emma Thomas called Harry to discuss all new sequences. He was amazed to hear that Emma has plans to hire a stuntman for an underwater sequence. Harry Styles, however, chose to do those scenes himself. He told The Hollywood Reporter that he did not know swimming and had to learn it before starting the work. The “Sign of the Times” singer credits Emma Thomas for such a fantastic and superb script.

In a recent interview with “Little White Lies,” Styles said that he learned swimming two weeks before shooting the water sequences. He was conscious about his safety and security, but the filmmaker assured that there is nothing to worry about. It was a relief to know that he had so much to do on the film. Harry chose to shoot almost all action sequences himself and did not seek the help of a professional.
