Drake Bell and Josh Peck rose to fame through the Nickelodeon TV show "Drake and Josh". The show ran from 2004 to 2007 and there were even two movies produced from the franchise. Since the show ended, the two have reunited a few times, once even on Josh Pecks new TV show "Grandfathered".
Drake Bell was not invited to his long-time friend's wedding
Josh Peck got married to longtime girlfriend Paige O' Brien this weekend and fans were confused when they did not see Drake Bell in attendance. The former Nickelodeon star took to social media to address this tweeting, "when you're not invited to the wedding the message is clear..." Bell was clearly upset that he did not receive an invite and released another tweet aimed at Peck saying, "True colors have come out today.
Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I'll miss you brotha."
Fans are upset about the fall-out between the pair. Many of their fans came to know them as beloved stepbrothers on the Nickelodeon show "Drake and Josh". Since the tweets have now been deleted, there is confusion as to whether or not the pair are friends. Peck will certainly not appreciate his former co-star publically blasting him on Twitter to thousands around the world.
Josh Peck has not released a statement about Bell's tweets
There has been no word from Peck or his representatives about the tweets. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what the other half of the "Drake and Josh" duo will say if anything at all. They are not impressed that Josh Pecks other co-stars were invited to his wedding such as John Stamos who stars in "Grandfathered".
The pair appeared to be on friendly terms earlier this month as they both released a photo from their "Drake and Josh" days on social media. Bell's appearance on "Grandfathered" also took place recently in 2016 and even included a reference to show "Drake and Josh" with their signature catchphrase "Hug me brotha!" Fans are understandably confused and have taken to social media to rant.
The series "Drake and Josh" focused primarily on the relationship of the two stepbrothers. Peck and Bell became close friends throughout their years on the show and this transferred to the screen. Fans are devastated in the wake of this news. Some are wondering if Bell was too harsh in cutting ties with his former co-star, while others defend his position encouraging his decision.
Both of the stars' representatives have been contacted, however, as of yet, there are no statements from either party. One can assume that Bell tweeted in a moment of anger and realized the impact later on. Fans can only wait to see what will happen next.
