Erin Andrews and her longtime partner Jarret Stoll have taken a huge leap in their relationship! The "Dancing With The Stars" host is now Mrs. Stoll after tying the knot with the former National Hockey League (NHL) player in a private wedding ceremony held in Montana last Saturday.
An affiliate of Andrews confirmed to PEOPLE that only their family members and closest friends were invited to witness the special occasion.
It added that the couple assigned Yifat Oren as the overall wedding planner, while Carolina Herrera designed the sportscaster's wedding gown.
How romance started between Erin and Jarret
The two were first introduced by their mutual friend Michael Strahan in 2012. The "Dancing With The Stars" host, however, was initially hesitant to go out with the hockey player, but her friend pushed her to give it a try and go on a dinner date with Stoll. The hockey player, on the other hand, revealed that their first date took place a day before Valentine's Day.
He described it as a "mellow, low-key" meal by the beach in Malibu.
Stoll added he and Andrews spent the whole night talking about sports and he discovered that she knows a lot about the field given her profession as a sportscaster.
“There’s obviously some sports she knows a little bit more about than me, it bothers me a little bit, but I’ll take it. Yeah, it’s fine. Right now it’s great. It’s her off-time right now—her down time—before baseball starts up again,” he told E.
And just like any other couples, Stoll and Andrews had their own share of troubles in the past five years. In fact, their relationship was tested when the former NFL player was arrested for cocaine possession in 2015. Despite that, the "Dancing With The Stars" host has remained by his side.
Stoll finally pops the question
The couple were first mired in engagement rumors after the TV personality was seen wearing a diamond ring in December 2016. But neither of them has personally addressed the reports until Maksim Chmerkovskiy dropped the bomb in an interview. The Ukrainian-American dancer spilled the beans after the "Dancing With The Stars" host made an honest mistake and announced on the show that he and his fiance, Peta Murgatroyd, were expecting his first baby.
“I had an amazing time with Erin Andrews, who I think maybe just got engaged and maybe I’m breaking the news, I’m not sure. She also kinda, maybe broke the news of us being pregnant, so maybe that’s returning the favor over here,” he said in a TV interview.
The TV personality later confirmed that the proposal happened at a diner in Disneyland a couple of weeks before Christmas day.
