Attention Disney Fans, the date is quickly approaching. Whether you are able to attend or not, this is a weekend not to be missed. As with the Star Wars Celebration before it, this weekend will be jam-packed with tons of awesome news about everything from upcoming movies and games, to comics, and more. It is definitely a weekend not to be missed.

Day 1

To start this fun weekend off, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger will host the opening ceremony at 10 AM on Friday, July 14, in the main hall known as Hall D23. During this ceremony, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Stan Lee, Oprah Winfrey, and more will be honored as part of the Disney Legends Award Ceremony.

Later in the day, at 1:15 pm the Chief Creative Officer of Marvel himself Joe Quesada, will take up the D23 Expo stage for a panel called "Cup o' Joe." According to the Expo's website, this is expected to be an anything goes type of panel for all things Marvel.

To help finish the day off, at 6 PM on Stage 28, there will be a panel about all things Marvel Animation. According to the main website, this one will be filled with many surprises, ranging from special guests, to sneak peeks, to exclusive footage, and even a big announcement about the future of Marvel Animation. At this point, one can only speculate as to what that means.

Day 2

Day 2 will open at 10:30 AM on the main stage known as Hall D23, with a behind-the-scenes look at many of their properties such as Marvel, LucasFilm, and their own -- Disney.

At this panel, fans should expect a surprise guest or two, exclusive footage from their slate of live-action films, and more. As of now, there is no indication whether this will include footage from "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi." With the movie coming out later this year, hopes are high.

Day 3

To finish off the weekend with style, eight-time Oscar Winner Alan Menken will perform his one man show called "A Whole New World of Alan Menken." Throughout the show, it is said that he will perform hits from classic movies such as "Beauty and the Beast," "Tangled," "Aladdin," "Pocahontas," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and more.

Between panels, when fans need a break from running from one to the next, on the show floor, fans can expect to be able to shop at the Disney Dream Store, purchase exclusive pins from Mickey's of Glendale, and get "exclusive looks at some of the locations, star ships, creatures and droids that will bring the land to life when it opens in 2019" at "A Galaxy of Stories" in the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Pavilion.
