Preacher Lawson draws laughter on season 12 of 'America's Got Talent'

From the moment he sauntered onto the stage, Preacher Lawson had the audience giggling. It is clear that this man was destined to be a #comedian.

Preacher launched into his jokes and as laughter burst from the audience and the judges alike, it was clear that he would be sailing into the next round. "America's Got Talent" has seen many comedic acts over the years but what made Preacher Lawson different was his personality. His own foolish character came across as he nailed the punchlines causing an uproar from the crowd. His entire being oozed excitement and mischief. His flopping limbs and facial expressions incited chuckles from the audience. As judge Howie Mandel said, "even his body is funny".

Simon Cowell finds Preacher Lawson hilarious

Simon Cowell is famously known for being the harsh judge on shows such as "Britain's Got Talent" and "America's Got Talent".

His sharp ear and knowledge of the showbiz world are fine-tuned and he knows a winner when he sees one. Simon bought into Preacher's comedic act immediately as the camera panned and a full-fledged grin was seen stretched across his normally reserved face. In fact, once the act was over Simon had not quite had enough entertainment from the talented comedian.

He requested one more joke from Preacher. There was an evident "oh no!" feeling from the audience as their new favorite act was caught unexpectedly by judge Simon Cowell. However, there was little to be feared. Preacher Lawson graced the judges with a spur of the moment ad-lib revealing an insight into his relationship with his grandmother as he poked fun at her driving and overly religious nature.

Among other acts who made it through to the next round are Puddles the singing clown and teen ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer. The acts for this year's competition are brimming with talent and one can only hope that hilarious Preacher Johnson survives the trials of "#America'sGotTalent" and makes it to the finals where he's sure to have the viewers at home howling with laughter once more.
