"Claws" is the new hit TV series that is scheduled to premiere on Turner Network Television Sunday, June 11 at 9:00 p.m Eastern Time. The shows stars' Niecy Nash who owns her own nail salon but also launders money. Nash has a crew of four other girls to tag along for the thrill. Fellow actresses Karrueche Tran, Carrie Preston, Jenn Lyon, and Judy Reyes are the other girls that play alongside Nash who plays the role of Desna Simms.

The setting of the show takes place at Florida's Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon. The show is produced by the daughter of the legendary "Quincy Jones," Rashida Jones.

"Claws" will air for a full hour segment every Sunday night.

Niecy Nash

Niecy Nash has had a very successful acting career landing many major TV roles for a few hit series. In 2010, she won an Emmy award for her hit show on the Style Network called "Clean House." While she held down her position on Style Network, she also starred in the comedy series "Reno 911" as Raineesha Williams. The role in Reno 911 lasted for about six years as the show ended in 2009.

Through 2013-2015, Nash played a huge role in the success of the HBO comedy "Getting On." The role on this show would win her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her most recent role leading up to "Claws" was held for four years and ended in 2016 as Lolli Ballantine on the show titled "Soul Man," which aired on TV Land.

When describing her role ABC News reported that Nash said, "my character is everyone's mother. She mothers the world." Nash said in the interview, "It's not about her making it for herself. It's, 'I want to make this happen for all of us."

Karrueche Tran

Karrueche Tran is best known for being the ex-girlfriend of R&B singer Chris Brown.

After Brown fathered a child with another woman during the year of 2015, Tran decided to split from the R&B star and continue pursuing her career in modeling and acting. Prior to their break-up, Tran caught her first big acting break by starring in the hit web series "The Bay" as Vivian Johnson. The series would go on to win an Emmy Award for best web series.

Outside of "The Bay," Tran has not played in too many stand-out shows or films. Getting a chance to co-star in TNT's new hit series "Claws" should give Tran the opportunity to gain the necessary exposure to enhance her career in acting. Niecy Nash the star of the show had this to say about her co-star Tran regarding her earning her role: "I just felt like there was something about her that would serve Virginia. So she had to go through several rounds of auditions before she got the part, but she cried like a baby when I talked to her after booking it. We went out, and we celebrated. I was very, very happy for her, and she's holding her own. It's not stunt casting. She's doing a really good job.."
