‘Vikings’ – the television show

“Vikings” is a historical drama developed by Michael Hirst for the popular channel, History. The show was filmed in Ireland and Canada and premiered on March 3, 2013. Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, Jessalyn Gilsig, Gustaf Skarsgard, George Blagden, Alyssa Sutherland, Donal Logue, and Linus Roache have all had important roles in the series.

The first two seasons received favorable ratings from television critics and audiences, with an average rating of 74% on Metacritic based on 43 reviews.

‘Line of Duty’

“Line of Duty” is a British-American series by Jed Mercurio that premiered on June 25, 2012. It is one of the most famous BBC Two shows of all-time. In 2012, the program received one Royal Television Society Award and several nominations. In 2013, the first season was called the best-performing show in ten years, with a consolidated audience of 3.5 million viewers.

In a recent interview, director Jed Mercurio stated that a new season is being developed and would broadcast on BBC One in May 2017. The first two seasons were shot in Northern Ireland, while the new season was shot in Belfast.

‘Outsiders’ – The American TV series

Originally premiered in January 2014, “Outsiders” is developed by Peter Mattei. Set in the fictional town of Blacksburg, the story revolves around an isolated group of folks, The Farrell, who are happy with their simple lifestyle and don't want any changes. In March 2016, WGN America renewed the show for another season, with production and distribution handled by Sony Pictures Television.

The cast includes David Morse, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Ryan Hurst, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Thomas Wright, Phyllis Somerville, Jason McCune, and Mark Jeffrey Miller. On Metacritic, it holds a score of 67 out of 100 based on 18 reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has an approved rating of 76% based on 64 reviews.
