Global superstar, Taylor Swift has been secretly seeing British actor, Joe Alwyn. Several reports revealed that the "Love Story" singer went to great lengths to keep her blossoming romance with the Brit actor out of the spotlight for months in order to get to know each another.
Taytay's impressive efforts
The 10-time Grammy winner has been secretly dating the British actor for three months, according to several sources. Often, the "Blank Space" singer flies using private jets with security personnel in tow making it a military-like mission to prevent her from being seen.
The singer-songwriter has even flown into small and remote airports just to meet him, sometimes wearing disguises! Taylor has gone to impressive lengths to keep their romance discreet. She has been renting a house in North London while seeing Alwyn in the UK.
Nobody has a clue they’ve been walking past a superstar – not even her new neighbors. The couple really tried to be on low down and have spent most of their time together in private locations where they could get to know each other without the pressure of the public eye, sources revealed. If she was seen in the UK, she made sure everyone thought it was a work trip for her new album. Swift, who has previously dated the likes of John Mayer, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston is making sure her new relationship doesn't end up like her previous ones.
Her new man
Joe Alwyn is apparently a good actor. He was still a student at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama when he first landed a role in Billy Lynn's "Long Halftime Walk." In the film, he plays an Iraqi war hero, acting alongside the likes of Kristen Stewart, Vin Diesel, and Garrett Hedlund. It may not be a big hit but it earned the rookie Alwyn, a lot of praise.
Some wonder if they’ve met through Emma Stone his co-actor in his upcoming movie titled "The Favourite" since Emma is Taylor’s close friend. Alwyn still lives with his with his psychotherapist mother and documentarian father, despite being a 26-year old rising star in the film industry. He is doing a good job being a mum on the status of his love life.
The actor refused to tell in an interview with the Evening Standard, his relationship status in February. And it seems he's hiding his burgeoning romance with Swift, too.
The media was unaware of the relationship but it was never a secret to both parties’ closest friends and family members, which knew that the two had been dating for months. And now that the cat was out of the bag, there are reports that claim that Taylor Swift can’t help but feel bummed considering how much effort she put into keeping her relationship with Joe Alwyn on the down low. At the same time, she is really excited about being with Joe and is hoping she can relax a little bit more now.
