"Sister Wives" has a new addition to their already large family! Meet Axel James Brown Brush, born on Saturday, May 20 -- the first child of Maddie Brown Brush, Kody Brown's daughter with his second wife, Janelle. Maddie and her husband Caleb announced the birth of their son on May 21, a day after giving birth.

Reportedly, Maddie was in labor for quite a while -- more than 72 hours. Baby Axel turned out to be a big baby, weighing 8.8 pounds and measuring 21 inches. In an exclusive video for TLC, the new mom gushed about being a first-time parent and described her son as "precious."

Maddie's supportive husband Caleb was also in the video.

The proud new dad admitted that he has mixed emotions about the birth of Axel, but mainly he's "excited, exhausted, and concerned" for Maddie.

Maddie and Caleb got married in June 2016. They announced their pregnancy the following November. In January 2017, they revealed to the public the gender of their baby. Although the young couple has previously announced that their marriage would not be a polygamous one, Maddie has said that it's great for her baby to have four grandmas.

Kody Brown is a new Grandpa

"Sister Wives" patriarch Kody Brown is the picture of a doting grandpa.

He was pictured smiling from ear to ear while holding baby Axel with second wife Janelle, Maddie's mom.

In an interview with People Magazine, he expressed his overflowing love for his new grandson and said that being a grandparent is "so fun."

Meanwhile, Kody said that his three other wives are all excited to meet their new grandchild.

In fact, Kody's fourth (and legal) wife Robyn has already taken to Twitter to express her support for Maddie's baby boy.

"He is finally here! I love this little guy!" Robyn wrote.

Robyn was previously rumored to be having marital problems with Kody, but it seems that she just squashed separation rumors by tweeting that.

Baby Axel is the first grandchild of Kody's famous polygamous clan.

He and his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn have 18 children together. Kody and Christine's daughter Mykelti is now also married and could be adding another grandchild to the Brown family soon.

The arrival of baby Axel is an exciting time for the Brown family and would definitely be a great storyline for their reality show. However, TLC has yet to announce whether "Sister Wives" will be renewed for another season.
