What to expect in 'Outlander' season 3
The leading pair will be facing a painful separation in "Outlander" season 3. The show looks promising as their separation will be the rockiest road in their relationship. "Outlander" season 3 is coming soon, and fans are thrilled after snippets were released online recently. Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, and show runner Ronald D. Moore are all set to return for seasons 3 and 4 of the series.
According to a recent report from Vanity Fair, Jamie and Claire will be facing a painful separation in "Outlander" season 3, as Claire will be traveling throught the stones to return back to 1948.
As per the Starz description, the drama series will be picking up right after Balfe (Claire) goes back to 1948 and leaves Heughan (Jamie) behind. However, things will be complicated for her as Claire is facing the struggles of pregnancy and the fact that she reappeared in the life of Frank, her first husband. In the meantime, Sam Heughan (Jamie) will be suffering from the aftermath of the battle of Culloden, facing a difficult life alone.
What's the relationship status of the two leads?
The hit TV series will have a total of 13 dramatic and romantic episodes. The story is based on the third book of Diana Gabaldon, entitled, "Voyager," which is one of her best-selling novels. The new season will be released in September 2017.
There is no doubt that Heughan and Balfe have undeniable chemistry, which might be the reason why shippers continue to speculate about their relationship and insist that they are dating. A few weeks ago, Heughan and Balfe posted for a photo together as they watched a game together in South Africa -- which sparked dating reports once again.
Rumors are even making rounds that they were caught holding hands while they were on the set of the Starz series. Heughan has already denied the dating rumors thrown at him and Balfe. The "First Light" actor is reportedly dating Mackenzie Mauzy, and he even defended her against all the negative comments she received.
As of now, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are still working on their scenes for "Outlander" Season 3 in South Africa, and the pair have stated adamantly that they are just friends, and not dating.
