Hey, "Gotham" fans. It sounds like your favorite show has really planned out a great season 3 finale for you guys by combining the last two episodes (21 and 22) into one huge two-hour finale extravaganza. What's even better than that is what's going to take place. Apparently, we're going to see Gordon try to win back the very angry Lee at some point. That crazy Alice virus is still spreading throughout the city. They're bringing on the great Ra's Al Ghul, and more. We have the wonderful people on FOX's promotion team to thank for these spoiler scoops by way of Spoiler TV.
'Destiny Calling'
Let's go ahead and take a look at the titles they gave these two episodes. It turns out that the producers decided to name episode 21: "Heroes Rise: Destiny Calling" and episode 22 is labeled: "Heroes Rise: Heavydirtysoul." While they are two different episodes, the press release description combines them as one episode. They started it out by telling us that the deadly Alice virus is going to continue to spread throughout the entire city of Gotham while the hunt for the antidote carries on.
Will they be able to find the antidote before the whole city falls to the virus? Or will everyone get totally destroyed? Those are the big questions for this storyline. Hopefully we'll see the answer to those questions in the finale.
However, the show did get renewed for a new 4th season so they may try to carry that drama into the next season. The renewal didn't come until early May 2017 which means it's highly likely that they will go ahead and cap off this storyline. We'll just have to wait and see.
Next, they revealed that we're going to see characters Fish Mooney, The Riddler and Penguin working together to hash out a plan of their own.
What will their big plan consist of? Will they be able to execute it? It'll definitely be quite interesting to see what they come up with.
Final task
Elsewhere, they let us know that we're going to see young Bruce Wayne have a big meet-up with the great Ra's Al Ghul (played by guest star Alexander Siddig). During this meeting, Bruce is going to complete his final task that they tell us will allow him to fulfill his destiny.
However, there will be a little hiccup that occurs because Bruce will realize that he can't let go of his past.
Is this a temporary hiccup? Or will this issue hold Bruce back forever? What will this final task be? Those are the burning questions for this plotline. It's possible that FOX might give us a few glimpses of it in their preview clip which we expect to get released right after episode 20 airs later on tonight. Be sure to look out for that one.
Really interesting situation
We're also going to see Gordon in a really interesting situation as they let us know that at some point he's going to be very busy trying to win back Lee's heart, as she has been so bitter toward him over the death of Mario.
Will he be able to actually win her back? Or will she continue to give him the cold, bitter shoulder?
Alliance drama
Lastly, they tell us that we're going to see some past alliances get split apart and some new alliances develop. We can confirm that the big two-hour finale is set to hit the airwaves next Monday night, June 5th, 2017 at 7pm central time on FOX. Stay tuned.
