It seems that Sabretooth was a part of “Logan” as a leaked scene shows his presence.
A “Logan” deleted scene arrived online last night, depicting that Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) used to spend hours on the sets of the film. Bobby can be seen playing with a Sabretooth figurine and a Wolverine figurine – audiences used to see the two toys in the 1990s films. The pirated scenes, however, were taken down as quickly as they were posted on YouTube, but Yahoo managed to catch the scenes while they were online.
Who is Sabretooth?
Two different actors played Sabretooth in the “X-Men” movies. Most recently, Liev Schreiber portrayed the weird creature in 2009 hit film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Previously, Tyler Mane played Sabretooth in the 2000 blockbuster “X-Men.” Tyler said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter in April that he would love to reprise the role in future “X-Men” movies, but it seems that the filmmaker has no plans to cast him.
‘Logan’ – the superhero film
“Logan” premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2017, and was released worldwide on March 3, 2017, in IMAX format.
However, the film will come out on digital HD and Blu-ray on May 23, 2017. It is a joint project of TSG Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment, with 20th Century Fox acquiring the US distribution rights.
The studios announced the film immediately after the theoretical release of “The Wolverine” in 2013. The movie is inspired from a novel (Old Man Logan) by Mark Millar. Directed and co-written by James Mangold, “Logan” features Richard Grant as Zander, Boyd Holbrook as Donald, Hugh Jackman as James, Stephen Merchant as Caliban, Patrick Stewart as Charles, and Dafne Keen as Laura.
Elizabeth Rodriguez, Elise Neal, and Erig La Salle, Doris Morgado, David Kallaway, Krzysztof Soszynski, Jayson Genao, and Han Soto play the supporting characters.
Box office
As of May 14, 2017, “Logan” has earned over $224 million in the US and Canada and $380 million worldwide against a production budget of $94 million. The film was projected to gross more than $50 million worldwide in the opening weekend, but it earned $70 million from 80 markets, becoming one of the highest-grossing Fox movies. “Logan” was released in IMAX format and grossed $19 million from 1,067 screens on the first day.
On an average, it earned $435 million in the first fourteen days of its release, surpassing the theoretical gross of “The Wolverine,” which made $415 million in the first two weeks of its release. The film has earned $9.3 million from Thursday night previews, becoming one of the biggest previews of the “X-Men” film series.
