Singer and actress Ariana Grande has arrived safely back in the United States after the devastating terrorist attack that occurred during the end of her Manchester Arena concert in the U.K. on Monday night.

The singer wants to be with family

Paparazzi snapped a picture of the 23-year-old singer as she returned to Boca Raton, Florida. Grande was met by her family and her boyfriend, Mac Miller at the South Florida airport. As fans of Ariana know all too well, she grew up roughly 30-minutes away from the airport and performed in the surrounding areas as a very young singer before her career as an actress through Disney really took off.

Grande is devastated

A source close to the young singer has noted Grande has always been very attached to her fans and is both “crushed” and devastated” by what has happened. For right now, Ariana just wants to be with her close friends and family members as she tries to recover from what happened from an emotional standpoint.

Here’s what happened

Ariana’s concert at the Manchester Arena started out as a fun Monday night. It, however, ended as a very tragic once after a suicide bomber blew himself up – killing 22 people and injuring at least 59. The audience attending Grande’s concert consisted of children, teenagers, and parents accompanying their children.

Eyewitnesses at the concert described the aftermath of the explosion as chaotic and terrifying.

Chief Constable Ian Hopkins revealed the explosion took place near 10:33 P.M. local time and was believed to have happened near the ticket office which was just outside of the arena where the concert took place. Police believe the 22-year-old suicide bomber, named Salman Abedi, did die in the blast.

The 22-year-old suspect, however, has not been identified by the coroner at this time. Police have also arrested a 23-year-old who is believed to be connected to the Manchester explosion.

Roughly 24 hours ago, Ariana did take to Twitter to give her fans a much-needed update. She informed everyone she was “broken.” She proceeded to apologize from the bottom of her heart and said that she had “no words” to explain what she was feeling.

In the comments of the tweet, her fans were extremely apologetic. Most commented on how much they loved Ariana or how she shouldn’t be hard on herself as what happened was not her fault. After all, how could she have known what was going to happen?

Most assume it could be a while before Ariana Grande is comfortable enough to take the stage again. While her fans are saddened by what has happened, they are just grateful she’s alright.
