It can be recalled that in her previous movie appearances in “American Horror Story: Roanoke,” “Machete Kills,” and “Muppets Most Wanted” she goes by her stage name.
Somehow, it is appropriate to credit Lady Gaga by her real name in line with her role in “A Star Is Born.” After all, her character in the movie is about an unknown naïve girl who is fortunate enough to be discovered and turned into a star.
To avoid confusion in press notes, the studio uses her real and stage name, one enclosed in parenthesis. Sources close to the pop icon said that this is her way of putting a separate line between her singing and acting career.
Having this kind of name separation in different fields is not new. Dwayne Johnson first became famous as The Rock during his career in wrestling.
