There has been much speculation that Meghan Markle would not be invited to Pippa Middleton's wedding. It was reported that Pippa didn't want Prince Harry's girlfriend to upstage her. Initially, it was reported that in order to keep Meghan away, Pippa said she would use the "no ring, no bring policy." That simply means she was inviting only married couples or those who are engaged.
According to Us Weekly on Monday, April 17, actress Meghan Markle has been invited to Kate Middleton's sister's wedding after all. The "Suits" star is on the guest list, and she will attend the wedding and other festivities as Prince Harry's date.
This will be a clear indication that Prince Harry is serious about Meghan for them to be together at the wedding of his sister-in-law's sister. A long time ago, people were hoping Pippa and Harry would date.
The wedding
Pippa Middleton, 33, and the wealthy financier James Matthews, 41, will wed at St. Mark’s Church Englefield on Saturday, May 20. The couple chose a low-key church on MP Richard Benyon’s private estate in Berkshire for their wedding. Pippa's wedding is expected to be the social event of the year. It will be nothing like her older sister's wedding when she and Prince William got married on April 29, 2011.
Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince William and Pippa’s older sister, Duchess Kate, will attend.
Both of their children are in the wedding. Three-year-old Prince George will be a page boy and his 23-month-old sister Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid.
After the ceremony, a reception for the newlyweds will be held at the Middleton's family home in Bucklebury. Michael and Carole Middleton will host a party in their garden under a luxury tent.
Guests will be able to spread out in the Middleton's 18-acre property.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
A relationship is said to be serious when a man and woman attend a wedding together. Attending Pippa's wedding will be the highest profile appearance of Prince Harry and Megan Markle to date. However, this will be the second wedding Markle has been invited to as Prince Harry's date.
A couple of months ago, she attended the wedding of Prince Harry's best friend Tom Inskip in Jamaica. The 35-year-old actress and the 32-year-old Prince started dating last summer. They have spent a lot of time together since then. In fact, Harry spent the Easter weekend in Toronto with Meghan.
Meghan has requested a week off from filming "Suits" to attend Pippa's wedding. That means she will spend some time with Harry before returning to Toronto.
